A year on the road,from Accra to Abu Dhabi.
In 2019, ATIGS Network conducted a series of roadshows, official visits and high-level engagements geared towards mobilising stakeholders for ATIGS Dubai 2020. Programmes were held in Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Cameroon, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, France, Japan and Turkey — alongside strategic partnerships with chambers of commerce, investment promotion agencies and global media.

ATIGS USA 2018 — the largest Africa-global centric event of the year
Hosted at the Ronald Reagan Building and World Trade Center, ATIGS USA 2018 welcomed more than 2,300 delegates from 92 countries, with over one billion U.S. dollars' worth of deals signed at the event.
Across 48,600 sq. ft. of ATIGS space, the summit delivered 10 pavilions, 186 accredited investor groups, 87 exhibitors, 150+ national trade and investment agencies and 24 country presentations.

ATIGS Dubai at World Expo Dubai
Expo Dubai 2020 LLC issued an official letter confirming its interest in establishing a contractual relationship with ATIGS Network, organizers of ATIGS Dubai 2020. The letter was issued by the Senior Vice President of Expo Dubai 2020 LLC.
The World Expo brings together more than 200 participating countries and millions of visitors — an extraordinary opportunity for hosting world-class business events.

ATIGS Advantage Seminar, Movenpick Ambassador Hotel
The ATIGS Ghana team hosted a successful Advantage Seminar under the theme "Strengthening and Positioning Ghanaian Businesses to Attract Foreign Direct Investment".
Mr. E.B. Ashong Lartey, Director of Investor Services at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), presented an overview of investment opportunities and procedures in Ghana.
"ATIGS Dubai 2020 will bring together prominent government officials, top CEOs and international investors in one place to discuss concrete investment projects and establish strategic partnerships."

A high-level welcome for ATIGS in Japan
The government of Chiba hosted a high-level dinner for the ATIGS Network team, followed by an Advantage Seminar strengthening the Africa–Japan relationship.
Attendees included Mr. Kenji Miyamoto (Hotel New Otani), Mr. Taku Sato, Chief Director of JETRO, Mr. Tatsuya (Tony) Hamada of Narita International Airport, and Mr. Takeo Katsura of the Chiba International Center.

ATIGS Network hosts CNN Marketplace Africa
CNN and ATIGS Network deepened their business collaboration with an episode featuring CNN International's Zain Asher and Xoliswa Daku, CEO of Daku Group of Companies.
A lawyer-turned-property developer with a portfolio worth over R600 million, Daku shared her journey across three parts: The Starting Point, The Profit Point and The Next Point.

Roadshow hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
In Abidjan Plateau, the seminar featured representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ivory Coast (CCI), the Center for the Promotion of Investments in Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI) and the Ministries of Finance.
"Ivorian companies with bankable projects need to go to this summit to look for investors."

Official visit to the World Expo 2020 site
The ATIGS Network team met the Head of Business Events & Programming at Expo 2020 and toured the Dubai Exhibition Centre, the Emirates Expo 2020 pavilion and other pavilions on site.
In Angola, the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone Development Society (ZEE) and ATIGS signed a mutual benefit agreement on marketing and international promotion on October 2, 2019 — signed by Dr. António da Silva and Dr. Melanie Figueiredo, ATIGS Country Representative in Angola.

Partnership with the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry
Prof. Dr. GD Singh, Founder & President of the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, called the partnership strategic for African nations — delivering investment as well as broader socio-economic benefits.
ATIGS Country Representatives Mrs. Nancy Abdelhadi (Egypt) and Mr. Emmy Byoma (Uganda) also combined efforts in preparation for ATIGS Dubai 2020.

Global Business Forum: Africa 2019
On invitation by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ATIGS Chairman Mr. Bako Ambianda joined heads of state, ministers, policymakers, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs from across Africa.
Meetings included R. Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; Toyin F. Sanni, Group CEO of Emerging Africa Capital Group; and Chris Folayan, Founder of Mall for Africa and Link Commerce.

ADIPEC and the Abu Dhabi Royal Family
On invitation from DMG Events, ATIGS Chairman Mr. Bako Ambianda attended ADIPEC 2019 to connect with leading energy companies with interests in African markets. The event was graced by H.E. Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.E. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
A separate meeting was held with H.E. Mr. Zulfiquar Z. Ghadiyali, CEO of the Royal Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, on Private Office engagement with ATIGS activities.

Ethiopian Airlines luncheon & the Women's Program Engagement Council
The ATIGS Texas team met Mr. Tewolde Gebremariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, at the Ethiopian Airlines Business Luncheon at Hotel ZaZa, Houston.
ATIGS Network partnered with Global Sustainable Partnerships to launch the Women's Program Engagement Council (WPEC), a global initiative helping African women entrepreneurs expand into new markets.
Africa's Titans of Industry — a documentary series revealing the women transforming a continent from within — was set to premiere at ATIGS Dubai 2020.

Engagements in France, ATIGS Net Hub Ghana and CEO Clubs Network
ATIGS Network conducted a successful business engagement in France at Paris Nord Villepinte, and launched its subsidiary, ATIGS Net Hub Ghana Limited.
ATIGS also partnered with CEO Clubs Network — the world's largest business networking club — connecting members with over 16,000 CEOs and senior executives in the UAE and worldwide.
